V-shaped UFOs reported hovering over Memphis highway

A Tennessee witness at Memphis reported watching two V-shaped UFOs “hanging” in the sky over an interstate highway, according to testimony in Case 77441 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving to Memphis Airport along southbound I-55 at 3:30 a.m. on June 22, 2016, near the Delta Refinery when the incident occurred.

“As we got closer, I slowed and rolled my window down and stuck my head out to get a better view,” the witness stated.“It was not moving nor making any sound. I could not believe what I was seeing.”

The object was double the size of a large jet.

“Seemed to be over twice the size of a 737 and just hanging there in the sky. Shaped like a V made of two rectangles, cut at the ends to make a point.”

The witness first thought to pull over and dig a camera out of luggage in the vehicle, but then thought it unwise to do that on an expressway.

“The traffic was light, but it was all tractor trailer rigs. I tried adjusting my left rear view mirror, but could not see it even when I looked back. Then, off to my right, some distance away, we saw the same light pattern hanging in the southern sky, too far away see any distinguishable features.”

The witness attempted to sum up the location and size of the object.

“To the best of my memory, I would guess the object was 1,000 to 1,500 feet up, gray in color with white lights along the lower outer edges except for one red light at the back. I would guess that legs of the V to be 30-feet to 50-feet square and 200-feet to 300-feet long with the span at the back of the V about 150-feet. There were two protrusions that I could make out clearly on the bottom of the closest leg. One was a cylindrical-shaped and the other was like an inverted fender well or a spare tire carrier. I am still befuddled about what it was. I swore to myself I will never travel again without a camera ready. To this day, I want to go back and look, camera ready.”

  1. There was traffic there: it would be quite unexpected that no one else reports, or even provides a picture, of this. Multiplicity of testimonies is an important gauge of the credibility of such reports, however too rare.

  2. I would say that you my friend have seen the same one I’ve seen twice here in Ft Worth, Texas. I have spotted it twice from my own back yard late at night, once while looking at the big dipper and once while using my night owl night vision. BIG? you got that right, amazing how they just float along- no sound. I’ve seen many different shapes, some by chance and while sitting out looking for them, I know what you mean about that camera part…it happens so sudden.. I still kick myself for not coming out of the trance of shock and taking pictures 🙂 every time and at times its too dark to do so. Take the time and keep looking, they are watching us.

  3. Robert, my thoughts exactly. The whole time we were on vacation, I checked the Internet and called a friend that lives close to Memphis searching for other reports. Actually, my friend told me about Mufon, and I finally decided to report it after all the doubtful responses we received after getting home. One friend suggested it may have been a FedEx or ups plane since it was before commercial flights began. I fueled jets in the 70’s, I know well how they look and fly. This was not a jet. I have a locust sketch of it. I will try and paste it here

Steve, I believe shock I the main reason I didn’t even think to use my phone even thought it’s an old flip type and takes lousy pix. The detail I could see on this craft made me think only of my camera.

I have another report, but having second thoughts about sending it. My mental state scared my wife into crying.

  4. I happened to see one a few nights ago here in the greater New Orleans, LA area. It was on September 29th, 2016 at around 23:35. I was in my back yard at my usual time, letting the dog go and looking at the stars as I normally do. I looked up and happened to see something out of the ordinary. When I looked closer I noticed what it was. I’m not sure exactly how high it was, but I could make out that it was a “V” or at least a triangle shaped craft. It had 7 dimly lit circular lights on the bottom in the V formation, there were three on either side and one in the middle/front of the point. It was flying at a medium pace, and didn’t make a sound louder than any of the surrounding normal noise. I do live near an airport, so I am used to seeing planes, and this was not anything that normally flies around here. Not to mention that the flight patterns in this area are for take off and landing, and this craft was in an trajectory of approximately 168 degrees SSE, which would be perpendicular to the air traffic flight and parallel to the run way of the air port. I don’t normally take my cell phone out there with me, and I knw that by the time I retrieved it from the house the craft would have been gone, not to mention it doesn’t photograph too well in low, low light. And if you remember, there was a Black Moon on the 29th. I couldn’t have followed it in my car because no one in the house was awake to be my spotter. So I watched as it traveled on it’s way, out over the swamps and on over the Gulf eventually.

I wonder what they are doing and what the frequency is, and how that compares to the past few years.

  5. I actually live In Memphis and I can tell you being the fedex hub of the world, I am about 99% sure we know what a fedex plane looks like. As I see about 10-15 planes a day. I often keep an eye to the sky in hopes of seeing something like this. Unfortunately I have not seen anything out of the ordinary. I don’t believe Memphis is a hotbed for extra terrestrial activity. Maybe the traffic of fedex and the airport deter them away, as there are to many eyes. When I see a video of a UFO hovering the first thing that comes to mind is that it seems to be surveying the land or quite possibly the population of certain cities. Our government is in cahoots with at least one of the species of aliens and could quite possibly have struck a deal in the early days of civilization.

  6. I’ve been trying to find other people who are seeing weird things in the sky in memphis. This is refreshing. Just tonight I saw another ufo. The first time I saw the lights in the sky that made a triangle. It was dark out and as i was star gazing I noticed that the three lights were moving in unison. Now at first I thought to myself that they were satellites. But the longer I watched I realized that three lights stay equal distances apart. I chased them in my car because it was so weird to me. Once I followed them to Collierville the just vanished all together. .

  7. And then last night, I was looking at the big dipper and I saw a light appear out of nowhere and then it vanished and reappeared not too far away. Then eventually went away again. And then ton7ight I saw a light a pear out of nowhere again and then move across the sky slowly and then vanish again. Now I’ve seen a lot of shooting stars and satellites and these were not either of the two. Nor were they a plane. I mean I watch the sky all the time. It is very easy to spot a plane.(sorry for the spelling and grammatical errors my phone is a pos and won’t let me go back and edit)
