(credit: NBC)The popular NBC series The Event has been renewed by the network for nine more episodes. This full-season order shows that the network is pleased with the popularity of the show, and has confidence that the show will continue drawing a large viewing audience.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Event has averaged a 3.0 rating and 9.1 million viewers each week.
