Triangle UFO reported hovering over Indiana town

An Indiana witness reported watching a triangle UFO silently hovering over a highway near a downtown area about 9:10 p.m. on September 7, 2014, according to testimony in Case 59692 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness – who reported the sighting on September 9, 2014 – did not name the town in the public portion of the report. She was driving in the downtown area during a thunderstorm when an object was seen approaching at a low altitude.

“It was a very large triangle and the lights on the outside seemed like they changed from green to white,” the witness stated. “There were no red lights at all on this craft.”

The witness watched the object as it moved through the area.

“Then very slowly and silently it hovered for a moment over a building near an intersection where I caught a red light. I nearly hit a parked car trying to observe it and cars coming at me seemed like they were veering to look it also.”

The witness tried to listen for any sound coming from the object.

“Then it changed direction to move southwest and even though it was storming out I tried to listen for sound by rolling down my car window and heard nothing. It moved slowly at first and then like a shot it was gone.”

The sighting was similar to another case in Maine that occurred on the same day, but an hour earlier, as reported in: Maine family drives by hovering triangle UFO.

Indiana MUFON is investigating. Indiana has a current UFO Alert Rating of 4 with a higher than average number of recent reports nationally. Indiana had 14 UFO reports in August 2014 – the 14th highest reporting state – while California had 99 reports as the highest reporting state. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.

The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 150 or more reports for the month are rated an Alert 1; states with 100 or more reports are rated an Alert 2; 25 reports or more for the month are rated an Alert 3; 13 or more reports are rated an Alert 4; and those states with less than 13 reports for the month are an Alert 5.

  1. my thoughts are aliens are not from space, from under ground or under water. just think about it. aliens are deplicted as grey on no coloring. (could be from no sun) why can we not find where ufo’s go, maybe under water. maybe we came from under ground or water. Why are there now under ground protection for our world leaders? Why does our government have all of the tunnels? where did we learn how to do this. Why are there USO sightings?

  2. i live in sunman indiana and last night i saw a huge rely rely low triangulation shaped air craft move angelic like real slow than faster, it did make an airplane sound of sorts but in the lil time it took me to go in house get my gf to come out in look it was completely out of site and there is no way it could have moved totally out of site that fast without any sonic boom sound. i remember thinking that it was so huge and low that if it fell it would have landed right on my place. it had lights, dont recall colors in panic but it was not like any traditional light pattern ive ever seen on an air craft, no wing span or tail end lights or shape i could see that an traditional plane would have, on front end of triangle shape housed most of lights of many colors (again dont remember actual colors)
