Colorado UFO witness photographs ‘metallic objects’ moving overhead
A Colorado witness at Superior reported watching and photographing “five metallic-like objects” moving overhead at about 30,000 feet that could not be identified, according to testimony in Case 79398 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness stated that his wife called him outside at 4 p.m. on September 25, 2016, under a sunny, bright blue sky with no clouds, to look at a group of objects.
“She called me out to witness five metallic-like objects slowly traveling through the sky – very high, at a height above the current airline traffic – I would say more than 30,000feet,” the witness stated.“The objects seemed to fluctuate in brightness, potentially from changing its position with respect to the sun.”
The two watched the objects move across the sky for about 15 minutes.
“They moved in a northwesterly direction. Weather report at the time said that the prevailing wind in the area was easterly at 2 mph. The objects were fairly spread apart, definitely not a tight formation. After about 8 minutes, three of the objects disappeared, and two carried on. I took several pictures with my Nikon SLR, at my maximum zoom (135). For the pictures attached, I maxed out my digital zoom imaging on these photos in order to capture their shape.”
The witness included five images with the MUFON report, which was filed on September 25, 2016. Colorado State Director Doug Wilson is investigating. Superior is in Boulder County, CO, population 12,483. Please remember that most UFO sightings can be explained as something natural or man-made. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
To tell you my truth there was a time when I would question the reality of ufos but since 1987 I will say with out question they are real I say this because I have been on 3 and had communicated with those beings what I found out the further away from the earth plain the more advanced the beings became the best thing about actually having contact with other world and time beings is that I could careless about what others think
An easterly wind means that the wind was coming from the east. If the objects were going northwest, they could have been blown by the wind.

Given the estimated high altitude, the apparent changes in shape, and the high reflectivity of the objects, they *may* have been weather balloons. A word on wind direction: the reported winds, unless otherwise indicated, were surface wind direction and speed. Winds aloft, as reported in flying weather reports, can vary widely in speed and direction at different altitudes; these are usually reported in 10,000 ft increments, extending well into the upper atmosphere. Not trying to throw cold water on a sighting that could just as easily turn out to be a genuine “Unknown,” but as stated in the article, the vast majority of sightings turn out to have mundane explanations, so before declaring something a UFO, we have a responsibility to rule out as many potential ordinary explanations as possible.
This object or perhaps multiple objects appear to be morphing. Too bad there’s no video.
Seriously? That is so very clearly a helium-filled birthday balloon in the shape of the number 5
I saw this today, or what looked like it. I was driving and couldn’t take a photo or video. I slowed down to try and get a better look. It was about 6:40pm. There were no clouds. Bright and sunny. The object was very shiny and far away. I watched it for about a minute or two and then it just vanished. If it had been a plane or a helicopter it wouldn’t have been as shiny, would have made sound, and I would have watched it disappear into the distance. This object just vanished in a blink like it had never even been there. So strange.
