‘Brilliant red-orange’ UFOs reported moving over Scranton
A Pennsylvania witness at Scranton reported watching four UFOs flying in formation, according to testimony in Case 70991 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was driving a boat in Lake Wallenpaupack when a passenger noticed four orange-red glowing lights emerging from over the mountain about 9:15 p.m. on September 22, 2015, and alerted him.
“They where flying in different formations,” the witness stated. “They were coming in our direction. A fifth one showed up off some ways to the right of the others. The four all merged together and shot off behind the clouds to the west. The fifth one followed.”
The two continued to watch the sky thinking they would appear again from behind the clouds, but they did not reappear.
“Bright brilliant, red-orange objects. No blinking lights or red green lights as on a regular craft. They were round, circular-shaped. Passenger went for camera, but battery was dead. No time to retrieve mine and was driving the boat at low speed and it was dark. The sunset around this time is 7 p.m. There was a moon out and it was partly cloudy that night.”
Pennsylvania MUFON is investigating.
Scranton is the sixth largest city in Pennsylvania, population 76,089. Please remember that most UFO sightings can be explained as something natural or man-made. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
what, precisely, was the reason for inserting the wikimedia shot of scranton’s skyline, and google maps streetview of (downtown?) scranton into the article? and for that matter, google maps route from philly to scranton?
otherwise, enjoyed the report.
I also live in Scranton, Pa& I see ufo’s on a daily basis. Every night in my yard u will see UFO’s flying in the sky. It aggravates me because it messes w all of my home electronics every damn night, my TVs, iPad, phone, sons Xbox, etc.. They always mess up all electronics! But Scranton is def a hot spot! Even as a young child I can remember seeing strange things in the night sky above our home.
I just saw a UFO over Scranton, with the same colors. it’s just over 1PM now. At first i thought it was a balloon, but it made an L shape movement across the sky and it glowed a few times, with blurs I took my phone out and after i took two photos it went up into the clouds. It wouldn’t show up on the camera, as i took the pictures, so i thought i was just not seeing it myself, but should see it on the photo taking closer look with zoom, but nothing showed up on any of the photos i took.
I’ve lived in Scranton for 13 years now, and often look up at the sky, this is the fist time i see one, but i am not usually out late at night.
