UFO website XFiles.gr sent us a link to a recent UFO photograph they received taken over the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion. It was given to them by a man who wished to remain anonymous this past Saturday.
The witness, who XFiles.gr refers to as Mr. X, says he and his wife spent about a half hour taking 40 to 50 pictures of the temple. They did not notice anything strange. However, once home Mr. X noticed something strange in one of the pictures. When he zoomed in on the object he could not identify what the strange object was.
The object could not be seen on any of the other pictures, even those taken seconds before and after. Often in instances in which an object was not noticed when the pictures was taken, but is seen in the image when the pictures are being reviewed later, the object is a bird or insect that looks strange due to motion blur. However, Mr.X believes the object is too large to be a bird or insect. There also is no apparent motion blur.
Mr. X captured the image using a Canon PowerShot SX40 camera. The image was taken by Mr. X’s wife, with Mr. X in the foreground of the image. There was a helicopter in the area at the time, but Mr. X believes the photo to show a disk shaped object above the temple.
Mr. X sent the image to XFiles.gr in order to share his sighting and seek an answer to what the UFO in his image might really be. For more information and larger versions of the images visit XFiles.gr.
It’s a butterfly 😉
I have no doubt UFO’s (or IACs) exist because I’ve seen them many times, but this my friends is a BUTTERFLY.
Umm has no one seen a butterfly before!
Maybe something momentarily obstructed the lens of the camera and then went away so rest of the images don’t have the object in the corner. Looks like dust particle which blew away seconds later.

I have some observations about the temple photo:
Mr x was posed to allow the temple in the scene. His wife would undoubtedly have positioned him there with her attention focused on the temple in the background. How could she avoid noticing a stationary object hovering there? The Power Shot SX 40 is extremely fast. Fast moving objects (like a bird diving), some 100 or less feet away would be crisp and clear, and not blurred at all. When I look at the close-up of the object, it looks out of perspective and much closer to the photographer than to the temple; It’s kind of obvious. The fact that the object wasn’t noticed until later is what you would expect of a small-moderate size bird diving in front of your eyes 50-100 feet away; while your focus is on getting the wide shot just right. And of course the object not being there in the next shot is sort of obvious. It disappeared into the foliage by then. One other small thing: the object has some nice coloring, and sharp features, but the tourists in the temple are uniformly dark, but in full sun. Their profile is at least 1/3 the volume of the object,yet their outline, and other features have none of the same contrast. They are not in the same approximate spacial field as the UFO. They are much further away. That too is pretty obvious. I’d be interested in reading other perspectives.

It looks like a moth or a butterfly that is closer to the camera than the temple. I noticed that both Mr. X and the temple are in focus so a butterfly between them would be in focus also.
