An Ohio witness at Toledo driving south along Route 475 approaching the Ohio Turnpike underpass reported watching a fast-moving triangle UFO under 150 feet, according to testimony in Case 61353 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
“I saw what I first thought was a plane about size of a Lear jet flying way too low across the highway,” the witness stated. “It was impossible to not see it.”
The witness described the object.
“It had three white lights – one at each end and one in middle – about 5 to 8 feet above the others. It did not have any strobe lights and did not make any sound that I could hear.”
The witness was able to get a look at the object again as it moved away.
“After covering the 200 to 300 feet to the point where it crossed the highway, I turned my head to the left (east) to get a rear view of it. It was about a half-mile away by then.”
The witness said he was surprised by what he saw.
“I saw what appeared to be a rectangular panel of solid, bright, red lights made up of 6 to 8 smaller panels butted together. I was now quite certain I saw something that was no aircraft as we know them.”
The witness turned his attention back to the roadway and lost sight of the object.
“I am able to make good drawings of what I saw but I do not know how to send them to you by computer. I have to use the U.S. Postal Service.”
Toledo is the fourth most populous city in Ohio, population 287,208. Ohio MUFON is investigating.
Ohio has a current UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports nationally. Ohio had 13 UFO reports that occurred during October 2014 – calculated at 1.30 sightings per million population.
The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

I distinctly saw a black triangle ship flyover where I was living in Indiana and it was coming from the east. It was totally silent with no lights and it was at night and I could see the shape of itagainst the backdrop of the sky and as it moved across the stars

There is at least one man who uses essentially a parachute, and he has a large fan attached to his back. He likes to land in the sports field near this intersection. If you’re familiar with the area, it’s the field over by the Y on Eckel Junction Road. I’ve seen him land at night and it looks very similar to this description. The first time I saw it I was amazed that there wasn’t an accident on the freeway caused by people looking at it. It looks very odd.
I live in Curtice , Ohio. About 15 miles away from Toledo. Two of my friends and I saw a black triangle UFO fly right above our heads as it headed towards Toledo one night at 1am in June 2009. It was large, black, silent, had three bright white lights in each corner and a PULSING red light in the middle of the craft. Never seen anything like it, but it does seem these are a common sighting in terms of UFO encounters. Black Ops perhaps. But the way it moved made me believe it’s from out of this world.
Michael, I think I saw the same UFO in June of 2009!!! It was a very clear cool night and I was walking the dog around midnight or so and happened to look up because movement caught my eye. I live in Walbridge OH which is right next to Metcalf Airport so i’m used to seeing all kinds of different aircraft and I like to try and identify the make and model of every plane I see.
This thing though was nothing like any aircraft I’ve seen. I was triangular and had white lights on each corner with a large reddish white circular light on it’s underside. I could make out the triangular shape because the bottom light was fairly bright and illuminating the underside of the craft. It was moving fairly slowly and seemed to be around 5,000 foot altitude if I had to guess.
I tried to get my old dog to run to the house but he was having none of that and he was too big to carry so by the time I got home the object was gone. It was travelling North by Northwest.
I spoke with a friend of a friend a few years back who saw a large triangular UFO stationary over the Ottawa river in the Toledo area in June 2009 as well.
