Triangle UFO hovers low over rural Pennsylvania
A Pennsylvania witness at Lancaster County reported watching a nearly 100-foot-long, triangle-shaped object hovering at the tree top level, according to testimony in Case 82286 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was driving along back roads between 8 and 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, when the incident began.
“Was at a stoplight when something caught my eye,” the witness stated.“I glanced over and noticed a line of bright lights. Didn’t think much of it and looked away. I double took, however, and when I looked back, they were in a triangle formation.”
The witness was unsure what the object was.
“I went through everything in my head. It was not a plane. There were no blinking lights, plus it was too low to the field to be a plane. I thought it might be a drone, but with it being so low it would’ve been a very, very, big drone. Nothing was blinking or illuminating off of it. There were no beams or anything like that.”
The object then began to move.
“After I saw it, it moved again – not lightning fast, but quickly to a third point in the field and hovered again for a few seconds. At this point I realize the light had turned green, and I begin to drive away. But interested in trying to figure out what I saw. I looked back and slowed down and I found nothing there, nothing in the sky. There was nothing up higher. There’s nothing in the field. It was gone. There was one very bright light at the top and three, maybe four, dimmer lights coming out of it in a triangle formation.”
The witness provided one illustration with the MUFON report, which was filed on February 22, 2017. Pennsylvania MUFON Field Investigator Larry Shaak is investigating. Please remember that most UFO sightings can be explained as something natural or man-made. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
I saw the same exact thing 2 days ago.
Was drinking beer with a buddy when we saw it.
I’ve been trying to figure out if anyone else has seen it and ran into your post. I was speechless. Thank god i am not the only one.
As I have made comments about this type of craft elsewhere,
I think i should re-iterate here, that it is HIGHLY PROBABLE
that the vehicle seen is a heavier than air lifter craft,
since I do know from personal experience that Lockheed
Martin had won some late 1990’s era contracts to look
into “Stealth Blimp” technology for a 500 tonne to
1000 tonne heavy lift craft (i.e. that’s nearly
TWO MILLION POUNDS of heavy lift capability!)
The stealth blimp shape I am familiar with is much more
streamlined and aerodynamic than this very angular craft.
The NEW shape suggests to me it is probably composite
construction (i.e. carbon fibre rods similar to modern fishing poles)
for it’s structural members and PROBABLY multi-chamber helium
gas bags that can be independently filled and deflated for
optimal buoyancy and stabilization during heavy load transport.
There are PROBABLY multiple helium recompressors onboard
so that a helium gasbag can be deflated and re-inflated on-demand.
For propulsion, the engines are PROBABLY very low-speed
turbine like blades that are embedded DEEP into the hull
using compound curve S-shaped ducting and baffles
to hide/absorb the acoustic signature of the engines
without affecting propulsion too much!
It is PROBABLY very maneuverable with multiple
output ducts probably nearby each orange light
do that the craft can be Thrust-Vectored into
the proper direction. For faster speed operation,
compressed air or other gasses can be pulse-ejected
in specific directions for reasonably rapid acceleration
and braking. I am going to suggest that normal
low-altitude operation is probably around 20 to 60 mph
and that high-altitude operation will take advantage of
jet-streams at around 150 mph to 250+ mph speeds!
If it is the size that witnesses say it is, then this is
a much smaller test craft probably being able to lift
near about 5/10 tonnes or about 15,000 to 30,000 lbs
used for general software/hardware systems testing and
evaluation. A full-size, operational 1000 tonne lifter would
be at or LARGER than the size of a football stadium!
I SUSPECT this craft is more to do with testing of
the structural integrity of carbon-composite rods
for flexion, torsion, shear and tensile strength
AND final in-field testing of multi-helium bag
independent inflation/deflation systems.
I ALSO would not be surprised, that while this
is PROBABLY a Lockheed Martin project, that
the NRO, NSA and/or CIA spy agencies are
digging their fingers into this project wanting
to install ECM, radar, lidar and heavy duty multi-spectral
cameras for low-or-high-elevation long-endurance
loitering and imaging within mostly non-contested airspace.
The biggest use of this type of aircraft
would likely be flying nearby North Korea,
over Afghanistan and Yemen and probably
open-ocean duty to detect submarines
via measuring the thermohaline bulging
as the traveling subs disturb various
water layers which are NOW measurable
from way above!
Again, this is a test lifter system most
likely and is NOT an alien spacecraft!
I remember hearing the same about lockheed martin.it was their answer to carrying heavy weight without the costly, rapid fuel consumption.since then, ive chalked up all low, slow, large, triangular air craft sightings to be their blimp.my personal opinion is that they fly low to get spotted on purpose to see what the reactions of observers are.if people assume it must be extraterrestrial, then they get to say,” it wasn’t me” when spotted over unfriendly territories.
