Navy missile test causes UFO scare (Video)

A Navy missile test startled California residents Saturday night, many of whom captured incredible pictures and video of the object. The missile was reportedly seen as far away as Nevada and Arizona.

Reports of a UFO sighting flooded the internet Saturday night. Even KhloĂŠ Kardashian got excited about the sighting, tweeting “UFOs are real!!! Tripping out.” She included a link to an incredible video.

In the video, captured and posted to YouTube by Julien Solomita, a light can be seen moving across the sky when it explodes into a giant cloud of vapor.

In the video’s description Solomita wrote: “Hey guys, so we were just randomly up on the target parking structure shooting some night footage, timelapses etc. for the vlog and as we were literally walking back to the car Jason pointed out this ufo that wasn’t anything but a suspicious orange looking light moving fast..I was able to begin recording right then and there, and as you can see in the video, it turns into something that releases some sort of giant blue light in a circular haze.. It was easily the craziest thing I’ve witnessed. I rushed home to upload this.”

As reports of the strange light and the massive glowing cloud came in, it was not known what the object was. However, it has now been confirmed that the object was a secret test conducted by the U.S. Navy of a Trident II Ballistic Missile launched from an Ohio class submarine off of the coast of Los Angeles in an area called the Pacific Test Range.

The Pentagon said: “The tests were part of a scheduled, ongoing system evaluation test. Launches are conducted on a frequent, recurring basis to ensure the continued reliability of the system. Each test activity provides valuable information about our systems, thus contributing to assurance in our capabilities,” a spokesman told the Los Angeles Times. “The missile was not armed. Strategic Systems Programs does not routinely announce missile testing. Information regarding the test launch of Trident II (D5) missiles is classified prior to the launch.”

Although the Los Angeles Times reports that the public was not warned about the testing in advanced, flight paths from Los Angeles Airport had been shifted due to “undisclosed military activity.” However, the Los Angeles Times says it has not confirmed whether the missile test was part of that activity.

Meanwhile, incredible pictures and video of the event continue to flood the internet.

As of the writing of this story, Solomita’s video has received over 5 million views.

  1. Look at the smoke trail in your stock photo of a Trident missle test.
Now look how there’s no similar smoke trail from the videos taken on the 7th.
What is the reason for this difference?
Also, it doesn’t resemble missle tests from Vandenberg, either.
    Where’s the smoke trail?
Why did the air continue to glow blue after the object dissapeared? Far too long after sunset for solar illumination, which wouldn’t be blue, either.

  2. Thanks, Renee.
Makes you wonder why, here on “Open Minds TV”, the issue is dismissed summarily with the official story, w/o any attempt at considering the evidence (either for, or against)

  3. What do you think the fastes and most simple thing they could come up with to say is ” the object was a secret test conducted by the U.S. Navy of a Trident II Ballistic Missile launched from an Ohio class submarine off of the coast of Los Angeles in an area called the Pacific Test Range.” where were the rest of the test they did and WERE ARE THE REPORTS, why now are they doing those type of test near such a populated area but didnt let the air-port know untill after then the air-port didnt alow plains to fly over there cuz they were still more ROCKET TEST they were going to set off, but dont you think that they would tell the AIR-PORT so there wouldnt be any DEATHS from flying right throu THERE OR WHERE other plans fly???? as you can CLEARLY SEE the UFO is not in our atmos, its in space but big enough for us to see it as it changes colors shapes directions, THEN THE BIG BLUE LIGHT SHOW LIKE IT WAS POWERING UP and going into a warm hole or something like that or MAJORLY PUTTING ON THE BRAKES. My father was in the navy and i also have seen rockets take off, BUT THERE IS NO AND I MEAN NO ROCKET THAT CAN DO THAT or LEAVE SUCH A PRITY LONG BLUE ENERGY DISCHARGE AND STICK AROUNG…. …… GOV’T 0, UFO’S 10…… Sorry there quick story about the parsley unclasifyed rockey story was a good quick one but NO FACTS ADD UP…… GO UFOS SHOW THE TRUTH……… KEEP THE REAL TRUTH COMING DONT LET ANYONE COVER IT UP NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE TRUTH……!!!!!!….. 😉
