The witness was outside in his backyard about 11:30 a.m. on December 18, 2016, when the object was first noticed a reflection coming in from the west at about 5,000 to 10,000 feet.

“When I focused on it, I could see that there was something that was metallic and rotating clockwise in a slow, stable, and consistent manner,” the witness stated. “There was no noise at all. I had my phone and tried to take a picture, but the object was too high up for me to get a good shot.”

The witness then ran inside to retrieve an SLR camera and quickly changed lenses to a telephoto; then ran back outside.

“It was still there, so I started taking pictures.”

The witness uploaded nine images with his MUFON report, which was filed on December 18, 2016.

“The object appeared and then disappeared from my view based upon how it was reflecting the sunlight. Since it seemed to be several miles away, I had a hard time focusing my camera on it, but I was able to get several good shots.”

After around 15 minutes, the witness was no longer able to find it in his viewfinder or by simply looking in that direction.

“I got the impression that it exited my view following a consistent northwest path until it left my field of vision. The only thing that was left in the sky was a jet heading from the west to east at approximately the same height. This is an estimate from my vantage point, and I am not an expert so couldn’t say for certain. I also took pictures of the jet for comparative reference.”

  1. Looks like someone filled a garbage bag with helium and tied off the corners with duck tape. NEXT!

  2. This is the exact same UFO that my daughter and I saw on the Colonial Parkway a little over a year ago. I stopped reporting these because we started having too many and I have a job.
This particular one came within 25 feet of our car. It has what looked like solar panels that shift directions quickly. It was hovering slightly above a cattle field off the James River Colonial Parkway. This particular vehicle was the size of a 1,700 sq ft one story home and no sound. It did appear to have shiny smooth surface around the panels and reshaped faster than our thought process would allow. It was 6:17 am. We had a puppy with us that got very upset at the sight of it. It did not linger but when he puppy barked it shot up to a south position of where we were and shined like a star. We stopped the car and got out and watched it for about 15 minutes. No Picture. Not enough time – We were shocked it was friendly enough to come so close so fast!

  3. It’s a beach toy in the shape of a sea turtle. I saw it a Walmart. Hahahehebah !!!
People are so darn funny ?

  4. yep, its a half inflated store balloon from a birthday or something . I let one go about a year ago at my house and couldn’t believe how much it looked like a ufo when the light reflected off of the foil . I actually felt bad about it, kept thinking to myself, someone is going to see this and think they are seeing a flying saucer. But its just me making air garbage. ….sorry

  5. I have no doubt it is a drone. Probably something like an remote control quad copter. If you look closely, you can see a dark line of the propeller at the end of each of the legs. Just someone having a joke on the earthlings below.

  6. I cannot believe I’m just now reading about this! I’ve been searching everywhere for this pair of UFOs I saw in Tucson with my neighbor in Jan 2015. The first object is exactly what is pictured but at a height of around 500ft above my neighborhood traveling southeast at about 60mph. There was a 2nd object traveling with it, but it was stationary (unlike the rotating nature of this silver one) and all black and spiky looking like the silver one.

To Colonial Capital Girl – please email me your info to: znavy264@gmail.com or reply back on here because I’d like to discuss what you’ve been seeing. Your description of the panels moving in an odd way that you cannot comprehend it’s shape or speed it’s changing shape is exactly what I saw as it was flying by. Was this also in Tucson? I live in Gilbert, AZ now and I haven’t seen anything like it since. My wife hates that I keep talking about it.
